Annual Central California Region of NA convention with Nar-Anon participation. On Saturday, there will be Nar-Anon speaker and sharing sessions every hour from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM There will opportunities for service commitments at the outreach table on Friday, 1:00 to 5:00 PM and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Check out the CCRCNA website (https://www.ccceinc.org/) for hotel information. Speakers will begin at 12:30 PM. Please join us for the South Bay Nar-Anons’ fifth annual potluck get-together. We will be providing base ingredients for to make your own food bowls, as well as coffee, hot tea, lemonade, and water. Bring an ingredient or dessert to share, if you wish. In the spirit of the season we will be collecting non-perishable food items that we will donate to local food pantry. The Nar-Anon Family Groups are a worldwide fellowship for those affected by someone else’s addiction. NA's annual Pig Roast fundraiser for (outreach at) Hospitals & Institutions will be held on August 4 at the Salinas Sheriff’s Posse Grounds, 395 Old Natividad Rd, Salinas, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  All Nar-Anon members are welcome to attend.  It is a family friendly event. The main speaker is scheduled for 2:00 PM.

Central California Region Elections Assembly

The Nar-Anon Central California RSA will be held on July 14, 2018, at the Golden China Restaurant, 7425 El Camino Real, Atascadero, CA 93422. The assembly will start promptly at 11:00 AM (please arrive about fifteen minutes early) and we will adjourn at 4:00 PM.

The purpose of the assembly is to conduct the business of the region by providing service and support to groups. All Group Service Representatives (GSRs), Alternate Group Service Representatives (AGSRs), and Substitute GSRs are strongly encouraged to attend. All interested members are welcome to attend and observe how service beyond the group level works.

SCHEDULE LEADING TO THE ASSEMBLY

  • Wednesday. July 4 (to be confirmed)
    Draft agenda for the assembly will be presented at the RSC meeting.
  • Friday, July 6

Southern California Region 28th Annual Narathon

The 28th annual Narathon fund raiser event for the Southern California Region will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Yorba Linda, California.

All members, newcomers, and guests are welcome.

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. The program begins at 10:00 a.m. and will include special speaker meetings every hour and a variety of delicious pot-luck lunch dishes. There will also be prizes, gift baskets, merchandise, and more. CDs of the speakers will be available for purchase at the event.

Nar-Anon on the Yellow Brick Road is the 2018 Nar-Anon convention in Bakersfield, California. Speaker and Sharing sessions every hour from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Information Table - volunteers needed Friday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Meetings will be in the Hammons Room, down the hallway southeast from the hotel front desk. Bakersfield Marriott, 801 Truxtun Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93301. For directions to the hotel call 661-323-1900.

Nar-Anon - Is a world-wide 12-step program to help friends and families affected by someone else’s addiction. 2017 Central California Regional Narathon

Join us in Santa Barbara for the second annual Central California Region Narathon on March 11, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 909 N La Cumbre Rd, Santa Barbara, CA 93110. The Narathon is a fundraiser for the region. It is a day of intense recovery that will include Nar-Anon speakers from around the region, food, drawing, and silent auction. More information to come!

Los Gatos Nar-Anon Get-Together

The Los Gatos meetings are jointly holding a Nar-Anon Get-Together on Saturday, November 5, from 12 noon to 3 pm at the Faith Lutheran Church in Los Gatos.  We will be providing a potato bar and fixings and are asking people to bring side dishes, desserts, or salads, so it will be like a potluck.  This is not a fund-raising event. There is no cost to attend.

Regional Service Committee (RSC) Meeting

RSC meetings are held via Skye on the first Wednesday of every month. All members are welcome to attend.

Members who would like to participate via Skype should 1) setup of a free Skype account, 2) add ScottFromSB to your Skype contacts (be sure to mention Nar-Anon in the message), and 3) send an email to Chair@NarAnonCentralCA.org to let me know of your intention to participate via Skype. On the day of the RSC meeting login to Skype no later than five (5) minutes prior to the start time and wait for me to add you to the call.
